Founding partner dahinda keeps an active lifestyle. He is a steward of organic farmland in Eugene, Baja and Northern California, and continues to be an inspired visionary, shining his light on a possible future of compassionate progress for all of us. Café Mam is a product of one of these visions, for which we all owe a debt of gratitude.

Partner Brad is the mastermind and heart of Café Mam, making sure that each step the business takes will fall on solid ground. He’s careful not to let his boss-ship overshadow his friendship to everyone, cultivating a warm, open work environment for which we all thank our lucky stars. Brad facilitates many projects in the Eugene community and is always in great demand. His first loyalty, however, is always to his three beautiful kids - McKenzie Dahlia, Logan, and Terran.

Partner John contributes his technical knowledge to Café Mam as director of our equipment program. John has served as blueberry farm manager and did a stint on the board of Oregon Tilth Certified Organic. John also serves Cafe Mam as an event coordinator and is in charge of organic certification. John’s daughters, Corey and Aerin, are becoming amazing baristas in their own rights... no surprise, when John is their trainer!

indigo worked several seasons at the blueberry farm before arriving at the roastery in autumn of 2001. Initially she helped in customer service and now focuses her efforts mainly on graphics and advertising, giving our image a personal touch. In September of 2005, she and Café Mam partner Brad got hitched. Twelve months later Terran Oliver arrived. He is a sunshiny kid, eager to shine his smiley light on anyone he sees. Indigo also shares life with her son Logan, a budding mathematical and piano genius.

Once primarily an office diva, Dazzia is now expanding her involvement at Café Mam to include Event Co-Coordinator, and west-coast marketing (i.e., sales, demos, etc.). She enjoys the ability to travel for the company, while spreading the word of Mam. Dazzia is continuing her pursuit of a degree in Psychology/Humanities, and will soon begin studies in a program focused on Sustainability. Most important of all, Dazzia thoroughly enjoys and is honored to be Mama to two beautiful children, Meteya and Bronwyn.

Ki (Pronounced KAI) is a long-time Eugenite and Mam family friend. Ki is now a full-time delivery diva! Ki is a member of a living history guild at Shrewsberry Renaissance Faire. She finds joy in physics, the ocean, and her son Alex who is a super funny, smart, kind and happy kid. Ki brings a steady grounded presence to our work environment.

Melanie is the Office Manager and Outreach Coodinator for Cafe Mam. Since 2007, she has greatly enjoyed sustainability reporting, large international shipment logistics, creating documents, and hanging out with the various members of her family who work for Cafe Mam. Her path will be difficult over the next two years as she transitions into a fulltime work/school hybrid. Melanie will be attending the Bainbridge Graduate Institute in pursuit of an MBA in Sustainable Systems. She is a proud member of the Board of Directors for the Willamette Valley Sustainable Foods Alliance (where she works primarily in Marketing and Events) as well as the Board for Beyond Toxics (formerly Oregon Toxics Alliance) where she serves as Board Secretary and member of the Development Committee. Outside of work she is a voracious reader, an avid car-camper and terrifically paranoid about tsunamis.

Mitzi is an energetic, fun-loving, hard-working addition to our office diva staff! Originally of both California and Connecticut, Mitzi has been in Eugene for 9 years. She has worked for other natural foods businesses, including Grizzly Granola. Mitzi is the proud mama of two boys, Stu and Jake who are 11 and 7, respectively.

Cheryl joined us at the roastery in the fall of 2004 after living in Mexico for 17 years. She brings her strong work ethic to help in the packing department and is the main force in our coffee demo program. Her knowledge of the Spanish language comes in handy, too! Cheryl is the proud mother to two beautiful sons, Alux & Eric, and two lovely grandchildren.

Jake has been working for Royal Blue since 2003, and is the backbone of our can operation. He is also a hardworking member of the packing team. Jake brings loyalty and a great sense of humor to Cafe Mam. When he's not here he's probably at home making metal (he's a drummer, singer, guitarist and bassist). Jake and his lovely wife, Rose, are parents to a gorgeous daughter, Annarose.

Chris C. is our delivery and warehouse manager. He brings a quick wit to all he does. His strengths in organization and customer service, and his passions for quality and coffee make him a very valuable team member. Chris and his partner Beth are the parents to two fabulous kids, Cora and Tegan.
